Intermittent Hypoxia Exposure Can Prevent Reductions in Hemoglobin Concentration After Intense Exercise Training in Rats

چکیده
Intense exercise training can induce low concentrations of hemoglobin, which may be followed by maladaptation. Therefore, it is important for athletes to prevent hemoglobin during intense training. In this study, we explored whether different protocols intermittent hypoxic exposure (IHE, normobaric hypoxia, 14.5% O 2 ) could the training-induced reduction in concentration rats. Six-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected progressive treadmill over three weeks with IHE after exercise. lasted either 1 h, or h + (separated a 3-h interval) sessions. Hematological parameters, including [(Hb)], red blood cells (RBCs), and hematocrit (Hct), both renal serum erythropoietin (EPO) examined. We found that significantly reduced [Hb], RBCs, Hct, food intake body weight ( P < 0.01). Analysis reticulocyte content (CHr) counts suggested was not due iron deficiency other cofounding factors. The addition sessions alleviated Hct 0.05) without an obvious impact on > 0.05). Increase count from groups 0.05 0.01) suggests promotes erythropoiesis increase concentration. Furthermore, also increased EPO 0.05), although level statistically insignificant similarly effective at increasing preventing decreases Hct. Collectively, study used as new strategy reductions deserves future exploration athletes.

Albumin synthesis after intense intermittent exercise in human subjects.
We measured hepatic albumin synthesis in five volunteers (4 men and 1 woman) at 3 and 6 h after recovery from intense exercise. A primed-constant infusion of a stable isotopic tracer of phenylalanine was used to determine hepatic fractional synthetic rate (FSR) and absolute synthetic rate (ASR) of albumin from the enrichment of phenylalanine in albumin. The infusion of the stable isotope tracer...

The study was aimed to examine the effect of chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) on spatial memory of growing rats and to explore the possible underlying mechanisms. Sixty two rats were trained to perform the 8-arm radial maze task and were divided into four groups: 2-week-CIH (2IH) 2-week-control (2C) 4-week-CIH (4IH) and 4-week-control (4C). There were more reference memory errors, working mem...
متن کاملSplenic contraction-induced reversible increase in hemoglobin concentration in intermittent hypoxia.
The effect of intermittent hypoxia (IHx) on blood hemoglobin concentration ([Hb]) and the underlying mechanisms were studied in rats exposed to 10% O2, 1 h/day, for up to 5 wk. IHx protocols with longer daily hypoxic exposure show persistent polycythemia; however, it is unknown whether [Hb] increases transiently during hypoxia in protocols without polycythemia. Hypoxia produced a reversible [Hb...

OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate whether previous exercise training could prevent or attenuate acute cardiac alterations after myocardial infarction. METHODS Female rats were submitted to swim training (1 h/day; 5 days/week) or allowed to remain sedentary for 8 weeks. Afterwards, they were randomly assigned to left coronary artery occlusion or sham surgery. After this procedure, the ...
